Pray for God-sent Children

Tip: Whether you are believing God for conception, expecting a child on the way, or already have children, these Scriptures are for your family. I confessed these Scriptures before we had our first daughter, and it is amazing to see how these godly words have produced a godly, pleasant, obedient child. Some of these Scriptures are about the child, while many are about us as parents.

Gen 18:19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him." Gen 22:18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."

Gen 26:4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

Gen 28:14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Gal 3:14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

1 Sam 2:26 And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the LORD and men.

Luke 1:80, 2:40
80 So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.
40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Is 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Psalm 37:25-26 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Psalm 112:1-3 Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

Ps 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of [gift from] the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Prov 11:21 (TLB) You can be very sure the evil man will not go unpunished forever. And you can also be very sure God will rescue the children of the godly.

Prov 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

2 Tim 3:15 …that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Gen 9:1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.

Gen 24:60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her: "Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands; and may your descendants possess the gates of those who hate them."

1 Sam 1:27-28 For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. 28 Therefore I also have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD." So they worshiped the LORD there.

1 Sam 2:20-21 And Eli [the priest] would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, "The LORD give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was lent to the LORD." Then they would go to their own home. 21 And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

Psalm 34:10-11 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Prov 29:15 The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.

Deut 4:9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, Deut 6:7-9 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deut 31:12-13 Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, 13 and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess."

Isa 61:7, 9 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs… 9 Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed. Isa 65:23-24 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Jer 29:5-7 Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit. 6 Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters-- that you may be increased there, and not diminished. 7 And seek the peace [welfare, prosperity] of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, & pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace [prosper].
