Interview on 2020 Launch

DM Press chatted with Author Steve Cioccolanti on his new book: The Divine Code from 1 to 2020

DM Press: Thanks for your time. Pastor Steve, you celebrated 10 years of pastoring this year and have been busy traveling the globe. How do you find time to write a book?

Steve: It's like parenting, grace is there when you need it! Thank God for grace!

Practically speaking, God will give me wisdom on how to write. I prefer to write in an uncluttered environment, so I felt led to rearrange some rooms and furnitures. I also prefer to write at night, so there's less likely to be telephone calls and other interruptions. Sometimes I can sit for 8 hours straight writing at night, so I use my iPhone to put on set times when I should get up, stretch and praise the Lord!

DM Press: Is it easy for you to find time to write?

Steve: It is still a struggle to find time juggling everything. But I don't feel like I'm too busy. In the New Testament God tells me to "redeem the time, for the days are evil" (in Ephesians 5:16) and in the Old Testament, God told Solomon that wisdom would give him "length of days and long life," which tells me they are 2 different things. God wants to give us a long life, and He can also "lengthen" our days. I ask God to "stretch" my days according to these promises! (Prov 3:2, Deut 25:15, 1 Kings 3:14)

DM Press: Tell us about your latest book.

Steve: I'm excited about this one - I've been working on it for 2 years. it's going to be called "The Divine Code from 1 to 2020"!

DM Press: Do you go through all the numbers from 1 to 2020?

Steve: No, that would be a much bigger book than 300 pages. Just the highlights of spiritually significant numbers, like 1 through 12, 13 the unlucky number, 22 a significant number for the Jews, 40 the time of testing, obviously 666 the number of anti-Christ. There are explanations and predictions about major prophetic dates like 1948, 2012 and beyond.

DM Press: Who is your target audience?

Steve: As in nearly all my books and videos, you will find an apologetic, evangelistic flavor to my style. So like "From Buddha to Jesus," I aim for non-Christians to be able to find out a lot about God from "The Divine Code," but Christians will also learn how to explain the doctrines of Christianity such as the Trinity, the authenticity of the Word and prophecy in an intelligent way.

DM Press: Are you predicting the end of the world in the year 2020?

Steve: Well, no, a lot of people are predicting the end of the world in 2012! I'm a teacher of Biblical balance. I believe Jesus' coming is soon, and I'd like to be ready any time He may come, but I don't think it'll be in 2012, though it is a significant number. It may be in 2020, another significant number. It may be later... or it may be sooner!

DM Press: Are you going to tell us when Jesus will come back?

Steve: Hahaha, you're going to have to read the book! This book is not about setting a date for the Second Coming. It's a book about divine codes and their messages. It's definitely got a lot on end times as I've been teaching on that for more than a decade, but it's also got some of the best of my teachings on other spiritual topics.

DM Press: Can you summarize what 'The Divine Code from 1 to 2020' is about?

Steve: It's a book about the meaning of numbers. Numbers are not just a human construct, they are divine codes that communicate to us. It is my end times book, but it's also my apologetics book. It's very eclectic. You will learn so much about history, science and prophecy. It's some of the best of my teachings presented in a fun way.

DM Press: Thanks once again for your time.

Steve: My pleasure.
