Can I select more than one ministry?
Yes definitely! You have to manage your time and make sure you can commit to the requirements to be a fully contributing member in each ministry

Will I receive any training when I start?
There is a coordinator for every ministry and you will usually be asked to shadow a coordinator or someone more experienced. You will receive a guideline which will guide you through the steps of ministry. You can always ask your coordinator when in doubt or you feel you need more help!

Can I be involved in your ministry if I’m not from Discover Church?
The majority of our volunteers are from Discover. However, we do have volunteers, even internationally that help with our branch of Discover Ministries that impacts the world. Click here to see what our top volunteer needs are right now!

AREA OF MINISTRIES

Bookshop
Love to read and like books? Bookshop ministry involves impacting lives by introducing and recommending God’s Word to others. Get experience in ministering to people’s needs at the bookshop. Cashier positions are also available.

 

Church Office
Do you have an eye for detail? Love to assist in the church office? From printing, filing to CD and DVD Duplication and resources fulfillment to quality control of resources, be part of the church office that plays a crucial role in supporting the church activities.

 

DVD & CD Duplication
Available to be at the church office and help out? We seek to bless the Body of Christ with God’s Word. The DVDs and CDs that are duplicated go out internationally and we produce the best quality DVDs and CDs to provide quality customer satisfaction.

 

Events Organizing
Good at coordinating? Or want to pick up valuable skills and learn how to coordinate an event and be involved in a team! Discover Church hosts many events and conferences such as Church conferences, camp, fun outings etc. Be involved in marketing, coordinating with different ministries etc.

 

Graphic Design
Have a flair for graphics and love to design? Put your gift to use for Jesus! Be involved in designing flyers, signs, website graphics, CD and DVD covers, books and more!

 

Hospitality
Can’t get away from the kitchen? Like to cook or bake? Share and show your recipe to the church and come and join a team that literally feeds the sheep!

 

International Services
Good at different languages? Translation and Interpreting roles are available at Discover Church to provide live interpreting during services and translation for books and DVDs to different languages. Come and bless others with the language skill that you have!

 

Multimedia - Video & Audio Editing
We seek to resource the Body of Christ with God’s Word and have blessed thousands internationally with our DVDs, CDs and MP3s distributed. There is a wide range of available ministries in Multimedia, including Video Recording, Photo-Taking, Video and Audio Editing. Come and be a part of this impacting ministry!

 

Outreach
Jesus’s last words to us before He left was to Go! And preach the gospel to the world. We take this commission seriously and reach out to campuses and other venues regularly. If you have a heart for souls or would like to learn practically how to evangelize to others, join this frontlines team now!

 

Prayer Team
Want to be a prayer warrior and pray for the Discover Team? If you want to be a part in praying regularly in a team at specific times, during the week, right before a Celebration Service etc, get plugged in and experience God’s power working in our midst!

 

Sound Team
We ensure that sound is effectively delivered to support the Celebration service and seek to maintain God’s anointing and presence with a good sound system without interruptions. If you have any sound technical experience or would like to learn, sign up today!

 

Transcribing
Can you type fast and accurately? We often transcribe a sermon from audio to English text to produce books and resources in different languages. This can be done in the convenience of your home and/or per project basis.

 

Travel Ministry
Ps. Steve often travels locally and internationally to minister at different events. This involves preparation before the event date, setting up & manning the resources table, pastoral assistance etc. Get trained up & be involved in this dynamic ministry!

 

Ushers & Greeters
Be the first point of contact when members and visitors come to church! We provide a friendly and caring atmosphere for the congregation and there is a range of areas involved in this ministry from greeting at the front of the church, to pastoral assistance and security.

 

Web
Good at IT? Familiar with social networking and want to be part of a creative team that develops and maintains our website and related sites? Different roles are available ranging from updating web contents to programming, get involved with your God-given IT skills!

 

Worship
Know how to play a musical instrument or sing vocally? Why not use it to glorify God. We seek to bring the congregation into God’s presence and power. Come and experience the joy of serving with a worshipper’s heart!
